I've just returned from a short trip - 250 miles to Geordieland - and found everyone faring well. The run up to Christmas is just as exciting in your 70's as in your 40's - believe me. Now home and pleased to learn that you too are progressing. We have had a flurry of snow - about an inch - and hope that it remains for Christmas, but I have my doubts. The sun is shining brightly and what snow we have will probably be gone by tomorrow.

Looking forward to hearing more about your adventure. Love and best wishes, Joan

Looks like you have had bright sunny days in Mactier and Toronto. I guess you were due for a snow lay over.

It's been beautiful and sunny today. I got out for a bit to enjoy the sunshine. Hopefully we will be going home tomorrow with Tess - Saturday.

Happy travels. Lucas looks so big and healthy. What a cute guy! Keep the news coming in.

Love Heather, Andrew and Tess (from BC Children's family resource Kiosk)

Using the BC ecyclopedia for the details, Terry Fox was born July 1958 in Winnipeg. He began his run in April 1980 and continued until Sept1. This means he was 21 when he started his run at St. John,s and 22 when he finished at Thunder Bay. He died on June 1981 in New Westminster. An amazing young man with a great legacy.

Terry was named a Companion of the Order of Canada. .

OK - I'd like to amend my response quickly - have to fess up that after I had closed down your site I looked up a google site to see if my answer was correct, and it could be that he was actually 22 when he started The run. So my final answer, for a double Bushmills is 22 years old. I will now hold my breath.
